Champagne Salon was founded by Eugène Aimé Salon in the early 20th century in the terroir of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs region in southeast Champagne, France. The region’s chalky slopes and seabed soils studded with fossilised shells give the house of Salon’s cuvée a distinctive minerality.
The distinctive edge to the brand Salon is that it has closely guarded the quality of its wines. While the terroir and vines are exceptional, Salon’s meticulous wine-making techniques also contribute significantly to the longevity of these wines. Salon Champagne is arguably the truest expression of the le Mesnil-sur-Oger terroir.
In November 1997, Didier was offered the position to oversee two prestigious Champagne houses Le Mesnil-sur-Oger with his passion, his perseverance and wine-growing expertise.

Champagne Salon comes from a single hectare plot called The Salon Garden and 19 other small plots in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger selected by Eugène-Aimé Salon. The wines are aged in special cellars for an average of 10 years. The wines will eventually start to reveal their complexity and finesse.
